How do voice invites work?
Tap the microphone button and speak naturally — "Pool party Saturday at 2" or "Playground tomorrow after school." Recess uses AI to understand the event details and creates a clean invite you can send to any parent group.
Is Recess free?
Yes! Recess is free to download and use. We may add optional premium features in the future, but the core experience — creating invites, RSVPs, groups, and calendar sync — will always be free.
How is my family's data protected?
We take privacy seriously, especially when kids are involved. We never sell data, never show ads, and never connect you with strangers. Groups are invite-only. We only store what's necessary to make the app work.
Can I use Recess without the voice feature?
Absolutely. You can type your invite details or fill in fields manually. Voice is just the fastest way to create an invite when your hands are full (we know the feeling).
How do parent groups work?
Create a group (e.g., "Preschool Parents" or "Soccer Team"), invite members by sharing a link or their phone number, and then send invites to the whole group with one tap. Members can leave anytime.
Does it sync with my calendar?
Yes. When you accept an invite, it's added to your phone's calendar (Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, etc.) automatically. Hosts see calendar entries for events they create too.
Is Recess available on Android?
We're launching on iOS first, with Android coming soon. Sign up on our website and we'll let you know when it's ready.
